I finally made it home. It was not without a little drama, but a pretty good trip. Sunday started off rough :), but I donned my newly won jacket and clear glasses (lifesavers !!) and headed toward Durant OK. I got pretty close, but it was nearly dark even though it was only 5:30 and already sprinkling when I made my last gas stop in Holdenville. I checked radar and it was a huge storm between me and Durant. There was a Bed & Breakfast in town, but it was cold & dark. I called the phone # and they answered and let me in shortly. I even got a full refund from my reservation at the Choctaw Casino in Durant !!

Then it was cool enough for the jacket again today. At least it was clear. Then after my 1st gas stop I realized my bag was not there. So I U-turned and went about 5 miles back on I-35 to look for it. Upon turning around I got off and then realized it had merely drooped into my rear tire.

Again, thanks so much to everyone........especially the "special handling" Saturday night late......... :)

Now I get to spend this week getting her cleaned up. I've never had a bike with nearly this much grime on it !!

I’m pretty sure you had as much fun as Shannon, H man, and myself did Saturday night, and it was reall great getting to meet and. Party with ya! Hope to get the chance to hook up with ya again someday! Till then, Stay Safe friend!

I'll hook up with you, I have a T-Bag you can have. It's in pretty good shape, could use a good cleaning. It's made the trips to Sturgis with me and my old K9.

Well my Dad and I just got back today about 2100 miles round trip!

We had a blast and the bikes ran great! It was amazing to see everyone again and we had one new forum member show up! Shannon hosted one hell of a show! We need to continue to have these from coast to coast! Let's see what other members can host!

Derrick And Donna/HDM supporting the forum and getting all the attendees a little grab bag upon getting into the lodge a wonderful Prime Rib Saturday evening and drinks! Not to mention the door prizes were great! I don't think any of us can thank them enough for their generosity! Well I guess everyone can call Donna and tell her thanks on the phone while your ordering a damn part!

Matt in the process of moving the shop to a bigger facility but worked us in for burgers and meet and great with his team!

Now I'm just stuck Cleaning up two bikes after a trip like that! Lots of polishing and oil changes in my future!

Left Oklahoma this AM we just stayed west of OKC we stayed off all highways on this trip until we were about 30 miles from my house. To say our country is beautiful is an understatement! After the storm we headed west KS instead of east no point in going that way with that mess! Sunshine was out later that afternoon and the remainder of the trip for us!

Thats awesome i glad u and ur dad had a great and safe trip to and from.....thats one for the memory books for the both of u forsure...

Thats great im happy for the both of u...ur right its a damn good community and thats what its all about...hopefully i will get to make some of the stops in the future and meet alot of y'all

I'm thinking that one of the best parts of the whole thing , was the time spent alone with just you and the "old man" !! I really enjoyed hanging out with him at the lodge and at Lyons after the get-together ! (and you also !)

We say it over and over again, these Gatherings are the best events out there. I hope and pray that everyone will start attending and hosting these events all over.
Thank you to all who helped and contributed to this event. When Tim started this forum, I bet he never thought it would grow like this, outside of the internet.
A big thanks to Tim, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have the friends I have today. Those of us that ride these beautiful machines, wouldn't have the bikes they have today.
I don't know where the next Gathering will meet, but if you aren't there, you are truly missing out.

Oh Boy!! I’m not sure which one of you to advise to watch the company you keep.
I couldn’t find an emoji that expresses ‘green with envy’—the Black Hills are beautiful even when crowded with bikes and cars. To ride and really enjoy the scenery and roads without the traffic and stress of the crowd is glorious indeed.
Sure wish I was there.
