Just want to thank all of you that contribute to this site!!! As you may or may not know I just bought my first dog in Dec 07 chop...and even though Its _uckin very cold hear I just completed my 500mile service and with everyones advice and HOW TOO"S the service was easy and I made choices that I would not have done with out reading this forum ... One being RED LINE SHOCK OIL for the trans ...what a difference !! Smooth changes and finding netural easy.. The clutch and primary adjustments went with out a hitch "because of you all " I have no service manual . Anyway :cheers: and keep up the good work !!! :up:

I don't know how many allen wrenches and sockets I have wasted on the axle cover screws...at least 4 or 5...lol. Broke a socket head on the air cleaner as well.

For those tools you use everytime... get craftsman or snap/mac

Not too mention there shouldn't be that much torque on those small bolts. Maybe you should run a tap thru them to clean up the threads.
