I emailed James at Baker (he is the tech guy) and this is the first he has seen of the "New Design" 6-speed trans ...he's really curious and looking into it..

I have not seen one as of yet, Im wondering if they have the same guts. I will call some of the guys I know at baker and get back to ya.

Must be new. Have yet to mess with one and they did not have this during the factory training. Wonder who has it and how they ended up with it? To me, it looks like they made it almost like it's tamper proof. Made it so only Baker can rebuild it. I'll tell you what, you buy it and I'll take it apart so we can see what's inside

Im waiting to hear back from someone I know that works at baker. It looks like the housing has some cues from the power box/ torque box with the ribbed design. The thing that stands out to me is that the housing opens up from the other end. I wonder if they have done something to control the side thrust that has been killing the angular bearings in these things due to the helical gears.
