Tappet Screen

Changed the oil in my 2005 Ridgeback and found a problem. My 117 doesn't have a tappet screen. Had the spring though. Do all of the 117's have that screen or did the previous owner remove it?

It should have one, I think. Here is a schematic of the oil pump for my 2008–pretty sure they are the same.

All Shovel head, and Evo engines have the tappet screen and spring in the case.

Thanks for the lead on getting the screen. I was told this bike had the cam updated, but was really surprised not to have the screen in place. I have the notorious ticking head problem so I am planning on a complete teardown inspection when I replace the heads. I guess the current heads are a time bomb just waiting to go off. S & S ain't cheap but it's the right thing to do if I plan on keeping the Ridgeback...Thanks again for the help.
