Tappet screen

Just wondering if we can clean the tappet screen before oil changes or is it enough to clean it at oil change?

clean it whenever you like but I only do mine with oil changes.

I cleaned mine often up to 1k miles just checkin during the 1st breakin stage ,around evey 250 miles.. all was good .. now I just do it @oil changes

What do most you use to remove the tappet screen? I know that there is a tool for sale in J&P's catalog. But I am sure someone has a more orginal tool.

fingers, tweezers, screwdriver, pinch nose pliers etc. Just do it carefully.

Buy the tool or change them out to hex heads.
