Tappet Screen Damage...engine noise

After changing my oil and being as careful as possible, started to get some engine noise, though it was low on oil, which it was, and then checked the tappet screen...not good.

Didn't ride to far before I started noticing the noise, hope I didn't do any engine damage..

Did you put it back in upside down?

I thought I put it in correctly, and was careful, but apparently, I screwed it up.

The oil can still get past the wire mesh... so I would not think you hurt anything. If the screen was covered in metal chips etc and the oil could not flow then you would have a problem.
