Check out S&S website, they show you the difference.By regular if you mean hydraulic tappets than, yes
Never heard someone call them regular? Maybe thats just me, I suppose they are regular today terms but older Shovels had solid lifters. Hydraulic or Solid. Limited travel would just be a spacer for the Hydraulic. Is my understanding.
If you look in the homemade tool section on HTT, you'll see a fixture I made to dis,and assemble lifters. Nothing to it. Just keep all the parts in order.:2thumbs:Sorry should of said hydraulic with or without limiters. I understand how to adjust each style as I use non limiter lifters in my twin cam but adjust them off the bottom like a limiter lifter. I've never taken one apart before John, any special way of doing it ? I also belong to HTT under my same user name on here and enjoy reading your posts on there.
Thanks John, just got done looking at the home made piston circlip installer on HTT, pure genius ! I will look for the tappet post. Also thank you Bigdogtech01 for your input on the questions I've asked on here.If you look in the homemade tool section on HTT, you'll see a fixture I made to dis,and assemble lifters. Nothing to it. If you use the 4 turn method, and they don't bleed down, then you can assume they have limiters in them.
John
