I ended up ordering a tappet tool remover for about $10. I will replace all the tappets with a hex top now.

If anyone wants to borrow the tool, I'll mail it to you its tiny will fit in a regular size envelope, and I imagine will only be a regualar stamp for postage. Just gotta mail it back

Here is a picture of the tool, makes the job super easy.

I don't have mine installed in the tappet hole. I installed my accel 0-60 gel filled gauge in the oil pressure switch hole. I wanted easy access to clean out my tappet screen during oil changes without having to fuss with the gauge. Although I must say you guys have a nice set up.

tappet screw

I used an imPact driver then put an oil pressure gauge in it.
so you can put a oil pressure gauge in that hole? is it pipe thread? sorry for all the questions but i wanted a pressure gauge on my 2004 pi but hought you could only put them where the sending unit goes in to block and did not want to mess with breaking the plastic sending unit any pictures of yours with gauge in the tappet hole? thank you

I'll see if I can find the part number for you. The gauge came with the needed fittings.
I'll look for the oil pressure cover info too.
The neutral safty cover I made myself.
