My wife and I have been riding our dog now for about 1000 miles. 2 up is fine but there's nothing like riding your own bike. So without offending you lady riders out there I'm hoping I can get some specifics. I'm hoping I can get your height your weight and which model you've chosen. If you could please include pros and cons as to the model, please be as specific as you can. My wife is 5'7" approximately 140 pounds. Also anything you guys can share with me would sure be appreciated. I'm hoping we can keep this thread serious at least at first, then if you guys wanna rave off and have fun with it that's cool I just need some information.

Victory High Ball, Judge, or Vegas would be perfect! I LOVE the Judge, but that's just personal preference. I'm about an inch shorter than your wife and heavier than she is, but the reach on all three of those bikes is perfect. I can sit on them and my feet are flat on the ground.

Ron,

Wife doesn't ride but I know HD makes a ton of bikes that would fit your wife. 1200 Custom would likely be perfect or the Sportster 72 if she likes higher bars. It will also depend on the look your wife likes. Hell, just go to the HD dealer and have her try a few...and with all those new metal flake colors, I'm sure she'll find something she likes.

Best of luck.

My wife is only 5' and rides a 2011 heritage. It has been lowered about 1 1/2 " and the seat has be modified to push her ahead and down alittle. :Longest trip last year was about 1600 miles over the course of several days and she loves it. Hope this helps.

Road King , Heritage or Fat Boy would all be great choices. A bit heavy but the big front tire will feel more stable to her. All 3 can be lowered to fit her. I prefer the Road King from a style stand point and if she really gets into it you could add a bat wing if she wanted. Good luck.

Even though the Sportster is often promoted for ladies, I think it's a bit top heavy. Women's strength is in their legs so bikes with a lower center of gravity works much better.

At 5'7" tall & 140 lbs. I bet she could ride anything out there. Now if you had said 4'11" & 92 lbs. thats a different story! Good luck with the bike!

My wife is 5'5'' and about 155lbs. She rides a 1100 v-star. She started out on the 650, and road it for years. After I got the dog, I moved her up to the 1100, and found she was more comfortable and handled the heavier bike with more confidence.

I believe a Harley Deluxe would be a good fit for her. I ride with several ladies from the local bike clubs and they love their deluxes. They're around the same height and weight as your wife. The new scoots come with the 103 CI motors so thats plenty of HP.

If she never has rode before and you really want to keep her, do NOT leave out proper safety gear for her as well. And I mean everything from HD boots to a good fiberglass helmet. Leather might be cool and all that but meshed safety gear is better, especially where you guys live (well, except for today maybe....). Good luck to y'all, hope she enjoys it.

Deluxe or Fat Boy Low (same frame). I wouldn't suggested the Sportster 72. Seat is up HIGH on them. Nightster is a great choice. 1200 motor and very nimble bike. You will have to buy used as they stopped making them.

My wife rides a 2011 Honda fury. We have done some custom
Work on it, but it's a really nice ridding bike. It has plenty of
Power to keep up with my k9.

I would recommend the HD Deluxe as well. Low to the ground and the handlebars are closer to the rider. Also very sharp looking ride.

My wife had a 04 chopper but it never fit her as good as she would have liked. She ended up getting a 05 Fatboy and loves it.

That why I'm not going to let my wife ride my chopper. If that 107 S&S gets to massaging the inside of her thighs, I'll never get it back.

:roll: Geez, my better half gets it while riding on the back, can't even imagine her controlling that throttle....
