Tail Light is out?

Went for my first ride after the K-9 came back from the shop and the tail light is out on the left side . Turn works and the brake light works anybody have this problem ? and what is the best way to take the tail light apart to check the wires?

mine has done it before. First just pop the cover off the lens. Next get a small flathead. On one side of the round light housing there will be a bit of a flat spot you can get the flathead under and just gently pop it out. comes out easy. NExt is to look at your connectors. Either they had them off and missed one prong when putting it back in , or you have a loose pin connector. If so push it back in. If you haven't water proofed you should consider that while your in there. There are great how to's in here just look around.

Also look under your rear fender. The wire harness wires tend to come unglued from the rear fender and it'll rub on the tire. happened to mine.

Took the light apart last night . wire was Ok it was a bad light . Thanks

Dam got the new light today 57.00 for a replacment light . That sucks when the bike went out of warrenty when it was in the shop .

You would've thought they could've replaced that for you seeing that the warranty just went out.

Dealer said that Big Dog did not cover Lights anybody every had this? Not a big deal just think it sucks.

My rear left side was replaced bout 3 years ago.

ALWAYS call BDM. It don't hurt to ask...what's the worse thing that happens... they say no!
