Tach Problem / Thunderheart

I just installed the Thunderheart ignition. I has the big Dog plugs from Thunderheart. Set it on 4, went for a ride and boy did it wake it up. Problem is the tach. At idle, the tach lights flash, indicating rpms too low. But their not. At 70 mph, in 5th gear, its reading 1000 rpms. In fact rolling through the gears, it doesn't leave 1000 rpms unless I'm really getting on it. I just replaced the ignition. Stock plug wires and coil. Any ideas? Thank you.

Sounds like its reading half RPM, read your manual. It tells you how to change it so that it reads properly

That fixed it. Once again, thanks. As much as I read that the software was optional, especiially without a dyno, I didn't even read that far into it.
