Tach Cup Removal

trying to get tachometer housing off to send in and get re-chromed, took screw out of bottom but still can't get cup off any help would be appreciated.:bang: thanks

should come right out - is it off the mount? 1 or 2 screws to get off mount (can't remember its been awhile) then one more to take apart

can get it off the mount but cannot get the tach itself out of the cup ? What holds the Tach Gauge in the cup ?

should be another set screw on the bottom of the cup

Yes there is, took it out and tried pulling and turning on tach itself by hand and that thing will not come out of the cup. I can pull the complete tach and cup out of handlebar mount but can't get the gauge out of the cup 03 Chopper.

I'm stumped - Mines an 08 so if someone else has an earlier dog that could help I hope they chime in

Ask Ker, he has an amazing "Hummer & Chissel" trick, (it was proven on the gas tank... not sure about the Tach...)
