YEP! I run Amsoil in motor, primary and the tranny. I also use the Amsoil EA137C filter, in the Dog and in the Hog!!

I run Mobil 1 V-Twin in engine. Thought we were not supposed to use syn in tranny/primary? Mine has 4500 miles on it and is due for service. Need to change something...as I have one heck of a time getting into neutral now.

Yup, Amsoil here. Not sure about the Dogs but try the 85W90 Synthetic Extreme gear lube in the HD tranny. Smoother shifts, quiets it down and has a better shear strength than the 20W50.

I havent heard about no synthetic in the tranny.
I have seen in the manual not to run it, but many have with no problems including me.

AMSOIL 20W50 in the motor & primary. AMSOIL 75W90 in the tranny.

Originally I bought the 134C AMSOIL Filter, but saw everybody using AMSOIL on this site uses the 137C. The only difference I can see is the 137C has no drainback valve and is slightly longer.

I am interested in why everybody went with the 137C. The only info on V-Twins I find on the AMSOIL chart is for HD and the main one they reference for our sizr motor is the 134C. No reference for Big Dog.

I've been running Redline Synthetic in all 3 compartments since my 500 mile oil change. I'm considering switching to Amsoil, however, and was wondering how their tranny oil stacks up against Redline ShockProof..which is pretty good stuff. Any feedback on that would be appreciated.

I wood have never believed it but all the studyin I did said that was the way to go, cause all the other oil didn`t have all the goodies in it that Rotella had I had all ready got amsiol and was gonna run it but my motor man said the rings wood never have seated and beins this guy was no shade tree wanna be I beleived him based on what else he had running around the country...Strange thing about the hole deal is all three of my harleys been running Synthetic screaming eagle oil and I built all them motors too and they all leak but my 124 dont leak a drop and its got cheep Rottelia in it but synthetic will leak wear regular oil wont.

Mobil1 VTwin in the engine and primary and Pepto Bismol - RedLine heavy shockproof synthetic in the tranny. Next oil change will probably switch to amsoil in the engine and primary, but I'll stay with the pepto in the tranny.

I use Redline straight 50w synthetic in the motor, heavy shock in the trans. Rev-tech in the primary, what a mess, i've got fluid all over the bike all over the garage all over me.

I should have stopped tryin' to put fluid in it when i went to the karata open primary:roll::roll::roll:
