Normally I wouldn't post a review but given both the cost and the unnecessarily cumbersome packaging I feel the urge to share that this bulb didn't even last 5 hours of actual riding time. Granted I do let the bike warm up for about 5 minutes until the cylinder tops are warm to touch and the lights are on during this time but evenso it seems like I should have gotten more life out of it given the cost. It's possible I got a bad apple but I'll see how the second bulb works out.

While I have your attention, is there an aftermarket headlight housing that's designed to allow you to change a bulb without spending the better part of your morning fumbling to get those rings off?

I have an Adjure headlight bucket on mine and I love it. I took the OEM one off after fooling with that mess 1 time :chopper:

Hope you get a refund on that Xenon bulb. Sometimes you do get a bad part...
I guess you like that set up and bulb -- more power to you...

I have been swayed to the "Widow Maker" LED bulb (lense set up) by this Forum and my own findings. Hopefully I too will get more longevity at $32.

I do not know of any other head light buckets that are without the metal ring and rubber 0-ring hassle.

PS: When you get the "new" Xenon bulb in please post a photo of the beam pattern looking forward and from a side angle looking back to see what the light looks like from the front.

I have a hell of a time with Sylvania bulbs I'm bitching at them all the time they will send you a new bulbs. They tell me they're guaranteed for a year. I even got money back on a class action lawsuit filed on them because of their shifty bulbs

A bit of research within the Forum takes you a long way... almost every subject has already been discussed.

They came in a two pack, put in the second bulb and that one was even worse, less than an hour of riding time.
Done with Sylvania, would not repeat.

Appreciate the update "H" !
We all have our preferences... It has been an en-lightening experience for me as well.
Somewhere I will find a photo of that style Xenon-Halogen beam and post so wee can all C & compare.

PS: "H" what is your Avatar image of? I cannot figure it out with my glasses on or off. Just curious. :)
