Swirl remover for paint?

Hi everyone, I stepped in to ask a quick detailing question. My Dog has got swirls on paint, looks like it was polished when it was dusty, you know. Small scratches that are invivsible when it gets darker, but they are so visible when the bike gets direct sunlight. I do not feel like repainting that part or polishing it not to make that paint coating even thinner. I saw swirl removers online, but the descriptions say that the liquid removes swirls, and does not say exactly how it works.
I wanted to ask you folks please explain thi sto me, as if this thing works just like any other adrasive and just polishes scratches off, that's not something I want to try. Yet, if the formula fills in those scratches with something and kinda hides them for some time until it gets washed out, I'd like to see how it works.
Appreciate your help...
Andrew

If you do a search in the show and shine section, there is a ton of information on cleaning and polishing.

A pro painter said the trick is to melt the clear coat. He then took his high speed buffer to my old fiberglass tank and it came back from the dead. The polish is just the lube for friction, right?

I appreciate your replies, folks. I thought of polishing out the swirls, and I appreciate the recommendation on the 3M compound & finish and Canuba wax, I believe that's what I will be using on my bike then.
However I saw those 'swirl removers' and thought maybe they will allow removing swirls by filling in the spaces between the minor scratches. I've tried looking through reviews and stuff, and couldn't find any info on swirl removers except of the polishes. Seems like I'm lucky that I've posted here, as I was about to pick a bottle of this Cycle Care stuff (Link), as I was under impression this liquid was going to fill in the scratches, as I said.
I guess I will be using the combination of 3M and Canuba wax then... If everyone says this is a great combo.

I do not like wax. It comes off immediately. So many better sealants out there now with new chemical technology. I use an SIO2 ceramic sealer after I do any paint correction. It'll last 6+ months on my cars, forever on the bikes and hot rod. I use the Menzerna 3000 polish. It'll get out the spider web swirls you're talking about. Anything heavier is too much. Use a foam pad and buff it with an orbital set on 3 until it's totally clean. Then apply the gtecniq Crystal Serum lite by the directions. If you don't want to do a full ceramic job, the P&S Bead Maker is an excellent top up type spray. Spray it on the clean paint after the correction is done, sort of wipe it 'in' and then buff it off with a dry towel (only use microfiber). Let it 'cure' for 8-10 hours DRY (don't get it wet, you'll drown the polymers and silicone particles). Then re-apply again to sort of build it up. After the first application you'll come out and notice the bike has a deeper shine to it as it cures. From here on out only use the P&S as a detail spray, it builds on itself. You can wash the bike if you get it really dirty. A gallon of P&S is about $32 shipped from PDT detail suppply. That'll last FOREVER. I use 4-6oz on my cars. A bike takes a tiny bit. You can apply it to chrome/billet too. Does a great job of keeping things clean and making them easy to clean.
