Supertrapp Mean Mothers vibrating

On the new (to me) chopper at around 2500 rpm my heat shields vibrate or rattle. Is there something I can do to stop this? I really like the sound and performance of the Mean Mothers and at this time do not want to get rid of them.

I have the same problem on my k-9.The front pipe top clamp weld broke inside heat shield and no longer holds.I have not had a chance to see what I can do with it yet.If I weld it, it probably will hurt the chrome on outside of shield.I did call supertrapp and you can buy replacement parts.not cheap.

Haven't looked at mine but is there room for a hose clamp (worm drive style) ?

Also make sure its not your baffles. Mine were rattling at the front of the baffle. Installed a stainless sheet metal screw to solve the prob.

I just swapped the MM for the V&H, my old MM's rattled too - the welds that hold the heat shields on were broke, sounds the same as everyone else, they rattled, but I couldn't hear that over the exhaust anyways. Give it more throttle.

Turned out to he mostly the baffle on the far end. Bent it up a bit, wrapped some heat wrap on everything and used stainless zip ties from for now. Man was it vibrating! Waiting for Derek for call back. Looking for some BR pipes chrome if anybody has any. Also have a set of not used OEM Supertrapps if anybody is interested. Currently on eBay.
