I know some of you will laugh at this but I want to fit some slip ons on the supertrap pipes ...Has anyone done this ??? the size is 1 7/8" ..the reason is that I want something while I order a set of R&Bs ..The stock muffler broke where the endcap bolts to the muffler and now the chrome shield wants to slide back... I have always liked the sound of HD slip-ons and thought this would be a fun project ..and I would have a very unique looking /sounding bike , running the open pipes is not a option for me as I like the people who live close to me ...well some of them  If any one has done this or looked into the feasibility of this Part # etc let me know ..the problem I think is that the opening to slide on the stock Supertrap pipes is 1 7/8 and most HD pipes are 1 1/2 ? I'm not sure as I'm just now looking into this and have not ordered the R&B pipe yet? Or if anyone has a pipe that they want to get rid of ? 07 Chopper style ? cheep LOL

Ron, I already looked in to the slip-on issue. No one to my knowledge makes any slip ons that will work because the header pipes on our choppers are equal lenght. Thaty being what it is, the slip on style mufflers need to be mounted on a staggered lenght pipes so they will clear each other top to bottom. There are original mufflers for sale on e-bay for around 70 dollars.

scuba... I am thinking of removing the muffler on my stock pipes and using just the head pipes for tunning. Think I'm going to have a bung welded to the backside of the front pipe for use with O2 sensor for tunning. I could get you my old muffler if need be. Its been punched out but is in good condition.
