That's the one you want. If you are using the stock bucket, the hardest part will be getting the trim ring out. If it hasn't been removed in a long time, it can be a tight sumbitch. You can get rid of the rubber seal when you put it back together. The light is a sealed unit, so that seal isn't needed. That will also create a bit more room when shoving everything back into the bucket.

OK, thank you! I went ahead and ordered that light. At $34 I can't go too wrong.

Do yourself a favor and pickup an Adjure bucket, far better than stock.
I had an Adjure bucket way back when I used to own a 2005 Big Dog Chopper. The thing fell apart on the first ride after I got it installed. I sent it back to the manufacturer, and they sent it back saying nothing was wrong with it. Maybe it's just me, but I just couldn't get the thing to stay together, so I threw it away. Perhaps they've improved them since then, as I have read good things about them.

I also used a real strong tape applied to the ring in a few spots to get better leverage.
Good idea, thanks! Been a while since I've messed with those light buckets, but yeah, I do remember it being a real pain getting that ring off.

I have been using the Sunpie’s for 4-5 years.

I have the black one and really like the appearance, and they are extremely bright.

I have had a couple issues and had to replace them a couple times for fogging and another for a loose lens. They did exchange it for me, but we all know what a paint it is to install them.

My current one has both issues again, so I will replace again over the winter.

I'm not sure what the adjure buckets were like back then, but they are great now. I got one on the advice of Harry and Big Mike. The original bucket and trim ring immediately went in the garbage. I see their website is down currently. Maybe they went out of business. You can still get them on Amazon and ebay.

I need to pick up another one for the chopper. Dang Sunpie was floating around. Sometimes straght sometimes sideways! Took it apart and added some silicon in a few places so it wont move around. Someone musta lost the lock ring as its not in there.

Harry, the buckets come with two rings. One is flat and the other is bent. It acts like a spring. It keeps pressure on the light so it doesn't rattle in the bucket. I couldn't get both rings in. It was too tight. I just used the bent one and it works just fine. I'm sure I still have the flat one somewhere. I'll bring it to Arkansas. All you have to do is put a couple bends in it.
