Suicide Shifter

Has anybody here done a suicide shifter. It has been 7 months since my accicdent and I am still having left hand problems. I rode a few weeks ago for about 10miles and my wrist was killing me later that night. I love riding my Chopper and need to look ahead at the posibility of going suicide if I am unable to use a regular clutch. Thanks, Keith

What about an auto clutch: EFM Auto Clutch. I was thinking abour trying one just for the performance benefits.

I agree with this.
We put one on a Iron Horse for a friend of mine who has hand issues.
Good stuff....
Check there site out.
I will put one on my Bulldog to save my transmission destruction, X4 now..

If you go suicide shift, look into getting the baker N-1 shift drum.

That will help you find neutral easily....all the way at the bottom.

Keith I was at Show Stopper today in Albuquerque and they have a 2004 (I think) rigdback with an autoclutch and suicide shifter. Just let you guys know for curiosity the guy is asking $25K for it, Tom the owner of the shop said that the bike owner put $70K into it. It got all kind of custom staff on it. Also there is a new mechanic there his name is Chuck and he is a custom bike builder but he use to work for the old Albuquerque big dog dealer. It seems he knows what he is doing.

And the EFM autoclutch works great.

In a wet clutch system it will perform well. On my dry open clutch, it added additional maintenance to keep it running tip top.

Denny, do you have a link or pictures? I am curious about seeing what $70,000 looks like!
I don't think show stoppers has a website and I didn't take a pictures I should have to, but I'll be back there in 10 days or so and I'll take one. Show Stoppers is a shop and let people that want to sell their bike to put in the showroom for a small fee.

These guys have converted some Big Dogs to hand-shifter set-up. Maybe they would help you or give some pointers..?
Here's their links...good luck!

Now that is freakin sweet!!! :whoop: I would imagine they could probably make one and send it to you for install since they have done a few Big Dogs before they must have a model. Looks like the height of the lever is adjustable as well.

I stopped by there Friday, It is a cool setup. It has an Accutonix hydralic clutch set up. They gave me some good ideas. Thanks for letting me know. You are right, nice bike but not for me. Too many sculls and spikes. The front brake is cool, I didn't even notice it. I saw that setup a few years ago in Daytona.
