Suckerpunch Sally

Good.

I'm most likely going to build out one of their rolling chassis this spring.

I'm going to start with the Meathook rolling chassis and most likely put a 110" revtech with 3" open primary, 6spd tranny etc.

I'm going fishing at the swap meet tomorrow and start looking around for stuff.

I need something with apes on it!!!!!

Hi jwoolf,
I have been to their site, they actually have a dealership about an hour from here. I'm not a fan of bobbers, but I saw a bike on their website, that I really like allot. I will see if I can add the pic. Keem me posted on what you think of the kit when you get it.

They seem to be one of the better companies to go to if you're wanting to start with a rolling chassis and build it from there. I've heard really good things about the owners and people that you'll be working with on your project.

I can't vouch for the bikes that are at the dealership but, from everything I hear, it's a good company with a pretty good reputation.

I'd start with the frame but, to be honest, I'd like to keep the metal work to a minimum. I want to bolt most of it together but put what I'd like on there.

I went to their main website, and then to the dealer's website, they offer the exact same bikes, and kits. I am with you on the metal work. One of these days I will have to go to that dealership, and see these bikes in person. But let me know how yours works out.

I just checked for dealerships and, there's one in Baton Rouge where my mom lives.

I'll be going there pretty soon and, I'll check them out. ( maybe even get to ride one )

I've even called them and, I forgot who I talked to but, he was willing to spend some time with me on the phone and talk about a lot of quesitons I had.

He answered all my concerns and told me about the mods I was worried about and gave me workarounds. Also, he offered to have his shop send out the parts with the mods I wanted already done.

They seem pretty stand-up to me.

That's awesome jwoolf. I guess they have dealers all over. Let me know what you think ater you see their bikes.

Jeff at suckerpunch is a great guy to deal with. One thing to consider on the dealerships that sell them, if you are considering buying one that is already assembled. Make sure that suckerpunch themselves put it together not someone else. I have heard of some dealers buying kits and having some yahoo put them together and having some issues. Another company that sells some decent priced rollers is flyrite choppers.

Thanks for the info alhall88, good to know.

Hey by the way, I have been meaning to ask you, where did you get that springer front end?

BD in Baton Rouge has the Sucker Punch. Checked them out real close and seem to be first class. (ole lady is in love with them) The dealer hasn't had them long enough to give any reliability reports. Another dealer close by has the Flyrite-It doesn't show the fit and finish or quality of componets as the SP but is way way cheaper.

Clubchopper has a thread for builds dedicated to Sucker Punch Sally and any other brands. Here is the link for those interested.

It was funny when Knotso and I went to the "100 Yrs of Motorcycling" event the Sucker Punch Sally truck was there with about a dozen of there bikes and everyone had an oil spot under it. I was going to ask them about it but decided against it.

jwoolf, I'm sure you've done your homework but I would recommend you do a search on Revtech before you buy one. Clubchopper.com and V-twinforum.com both have lots of threads on this motor and tranny.
I know that Custom Chrome has created the "new generation" motor but better to know what you are getting into.

Sounds like a fun build. Can't wait to see it all done.

Eh, It'll be a little while before I pull the trigger. Lots of swapmeets to go to.

Hell, I may find an old shovel or pan to put in the damned thing!!!

I'm trying to put this thing together for not a lot of $$$ but, I want nice parts. I have a painter to work cheap, I have wrench help. If I get in a bind, I've got access to a machine shop.

I want to finish her for under 15k. I should be able to come in under that mark and do something nice, I think.

I could do it for that with a bike in a box kit but, that's no fun and, I wouldn't end up with a 110" motor either. LOL

Reaper, its an american suspension dragon springer that I bought from a guy who works there. Its coming off the bike now and being replaced with something different. I was in a wreck and I will be replacing the components I need then I will sell the springer.
