Strange noise from controls

I just got my first big dog. I am starting to ride it and see what needs to be fixed. when I come to a stop and start breaking with the front brake. I hear a whining noise from the clutch controls. But the slower I get the quieter it gets. And totally stop when I come to a stop. Any ideas..........

If its what I think you mean it is the disk brake rotor. Its drilled to help it stay cooler and the holes make the whirring type noise.

When you use the front brake you may hear a whinning noise. The noise comes from the front brake pads running over the gas vent holes in the front brake disc rotor when the brake is applied. Nothing to be concerned about unless the pads are worn out.

Are you sure its not comming from the brake pads, they make the same sound. Just sayin

The stock pads are noisy and I eliminated this by going to the Z-pads from Lydell.

I think thats what it is. It just sounded like it was coming from the left controls. Thanks guys for the advise.
