Story Behind the 250 K-9

So recently I noticed a few 2011 K-9s for sale and they do not look like K-9s. Then I finally looked it up and apparently they are 250 K-9s. They look almost like a chopper/k-9 cross breed. Anybody know the details behind this bike? It does not look like it has the same controls or handlebars.

It’s a bike BDM marketed late in its demise. They tried to create a bike consistent with BDM image but at a more reasonable cost. Obviously it didn’t work out for them.
I do not know how many were made, nor the number of ‘downgrades’ they incorporated. I’m sure some other members have that info.

Probably a good bike for someone.

Does look like a cross breed, but is very smooth looking. Would like to see one in person, might buy one if it was closer to me.

I checked with the owner and he seems legit. It's about 20 minutes from my place in Chesapeake.
