Did anyone have to ride out of that mess on 2 wheels? That would have sucked!
No, the ones that rode to the Gathering parked at the main entrance in a garage. And a lot of the others put their bikes in their trailers and parked up there too. They knew it was going to be a big storm and get water over the bridge, but we didn't expect that much that fast. Or it washing out the back rode. By the time we left, there had been so much traffic on it, that it was a mess.

The folks at the resort were very good about having us park in the garage at the entrance area. As they were transporting us out that Sunday morning to where we park the bikes, I was so glad they did as riding on what they call the emergency road there is no way we could have riden the bikes out safely with all the mud.

we had a rain and wind storm blow through here the other night. right after I went the bed a friend called me that had been talking to his wife when a tree fell on their house. She said it sounded like a bomb went off when it hit their house ! I was really hoping it was just a limb that fell out of it as I loaded up chainsaws and all my stuff. It was the whole tree ! it was a about 70 foot maple tree. He will get a new roof from it cause his roof was old and in need of replacement anyway. It took about 3 hours by myself to get it off his house.
