Just recently bought my bike ,but noticed while cleaning it up yesterday that it had Performance Machine Brakes on it.
Was this a standard BD item or have I got a add on.And are they that much better than stock. Just wanted to find out, trying to learn everthing I can about these bikes.
Thanks guys

good question.

they are a quality brake.

the fluid used is the weak point IMO.

oem dot 5 silicone is compressible thats felt in the pedal

silicone doesnt mix with water.

water alone causes corrosion, boils at 212, freezes at 32.

compressible, vapor, fade.

after a thorough flush im running dot 4 motul 600

Thanks. Did you take the whole system off to flush it then?

yea i did it when i was messing with the 360 brakes.

took everything apart. soaked, flushed, compressed air.

the motul 600 was a decent upgrade. even with the HHI sprotor

might go with the castrol srf next change.
