Stinkin Stuck Gas Cap!!

Gas cap is very difficult to get off at times! I've tried many of the posted recommendations here. I think it's time to replace the thing. Any recommendations out there for a good aftermarket cap and paint protector?

if the replacement you go with has plastic threads, be prepared to go through this again due to the ethanol.

Get a paint saver and the new style cap that ratchets like a car one. You will never have that problem again.

I just attached the black cap key for the cap to my ignition key.

Gentlemen. I'm not trying to hi Jack the post, but. I also have very difficult to remove gas cap (left side) of the two on an 03 Pit Bull. When I replaced the tank savers, I JB Weld the crap out of it, it's not ever going to come off. So, where can I purchase two OEM gas caps? Thanks in advance. JJ

OMG, I'm prolly the last person to ask Some of these are epoxied in and some aren't, hopefully yours is not. They do make a tool with 2 pins in it to remove the paint savor but be careful it don't slip off and scratch the tank.
Mine had to be cut out, others didn't have a problem
