stator/regulator

o5 ridgeback, i am replacing the stator and regulater, on the old stator the plug had a rubber boot that was pushed onto it to make the conection to the reg. new one has a plastic clip, question is the new stator has 2 wires coming off of it to exit through the hole in the motor casing, does it matter which way the 2 wires are pushed into the clip ? can you reverse them? or does it matter?

If its a single phase system then it doesn't matter.

If its a single phase system then it doesn't matter.

Thanks kap...bought them through Derek so assuming it's bd and single phase but how do u tell.

A 3 phase will have 5 wires coming out of the regulator.
A single phase will have 4, if its a good one.
