Thank you all for your input. TX, AZ and maybe Co sound good. Not sure about FL but not leaving it out.Have you thought about being a traveling tech? Put together a group tech session where several owners get together, pay for your airfair, per diem, all the expenses and time working on scoots. If several went together, the costs may be the same as trailering a scoot to the shop.
Much more to this idea than listed but you get the jist.![]()
Lol, yes very trueIf I looked half as good as biker babe, any HD shop would work on my big dog.
Tranny rebuilds I can do no problem. There is a business just down the road from me that can get most any bearing or seal in any brand. SKF/Timkin is the way to go. Cost a bit more than the FAG that Baker is using, but hold up longer.Austin, Texas...be there by 2014...see you there!
On a serious note, more than a few of us would send you rebuild tranny work no matter where you are located

Scott, I'm still here in NY for now. If you have any questions or need anything message me. I'll have to give you my new number. Switched to AT&T and new number as well.Andrew I like the traveling tech thing but you need a base to work out of such as parts and such. then look at the taxes in any place. then the all around economy cause people may not want to spend money if things are tight. ect ect
Hey you do great work that is your selling point. I wish you stayed around for thing I may need done
That sounds like a good deal to meSouth cental PA. Service the tri-state area. Rt81,76,83,15 all pass through within 5 miles of Carlisle. 4 hours to NY,DC,Pittsburg 2 hours to Philly,Baltimore,Jersey ,MD. Huge population demographic within 4 hour radious, Calisle is home of some of the largest auto shows, 1 almost every week in the summer and of coarse the bike show. Even know of a beautiful house in a country setting going up for sale with a 40 X 50 heated garage w/bathroom and a large in-ground swimming pool for me to hang out at and drink while you turn a wrench on the Mutt.

I loved AZ when I lived there back in 2001. I lived in Phoenix which was ok, but on weekends drove outside of the city and up to the mts and it was awesome. Would not mind being back out there again. Is Chandler South of Phoenix?AZ appears to be picking up and maybe turning around. There have been a lot of bike places close and in my opinion not any good ones in Phoenix.
The home prices in AZ are low and there are many reasons why this state was growing so fast before the boom.
Riding year round and great scenery is a bonus
Where I live in Chandler 3000 jobs have been announced and Intel is a big chunk of that
