starting problems

I understand that the starting issue has been beat to death but im at a loss and can not figure out my problem
new psi relief valves
new battery
new starter
primary cover off so make sure nothing in a bind.
bike sluggishly turns over. not quite 12 volts on green wire to starter. so I jumped a wire to starter from battery still same symptoms.
took apart handle bar switch 1 wire was broken reconnected it. same symptoms....:bang::bang::bang::bang:

make sure ALL of your grounds are good and clean and tight.

and, on a side note, what you have is probably a "Chopper" model. the "K9" was not introduced until '06 with a 300mm back tire. the "Chopper" has always had a 250mm back tire.

also positive battery cable and starter getting extremely hot.
With a batter jumper cable there are 4 ground points:
1. Cable end on battery ground (-) at the battery.
2. Cable end on the transmission.
3. Cable end on the frame (find a bare spot).
4. Cable end on engine.

I'm going to make a ground source so I don't waste my time cleaning cables, meaning, it's doing the same thing either way, or it starts faster [I now know] I have a ground problem.
