i now have a open karata belt 4inch,i took my starter out and cleaned the oil from it when i installed the open belt,but i just noticed more oil dripping from the starter,what the hell??could there of been a little still there? ive had the belt on for a few weeks now,and im just seeing it now after a long ride and it sits overnight it leaks..

I would think it would drain out of the starter after a few trips since now your running open belt drive.

Does sound strange that it is has not all dispersed by now. It has to be residual since there is no where the oil could have come from. Maybe get a good can of Electro-Klean and pull the starter and clean the shit out of one last time.

When I got my Dog I was scared to death to work on it with all this proprietory stuff. But then I found this site. I learn something new about my motorcycle everytime I come in here. With the pics and how to's from folks that have done it give those of us that haven't the confidence to go forward and fix things. Gives us a warm fuzzy feeling all over! LOL

Same with mine but Strokers replaced starter and was under warranty, happened after they did check up.

hey delly ....did you pull that cover off over the stator and spray brake clean on it and the stator as well. if not there is fluid that will come out
