My local HD dealer is charging me USD 245 for just the starter clutch with 15 days delivery. Doe not make any sense. Now I have 2 things in mind:
1. To buy this Chinese starter, make the bike run again and get rid of this, so called, Big Dog Chinese shit. This will give me back a lot of free time to start spending it with my family instead of fixing this bike every second month.
2. Not to give up and fix the bike with good parts.
I might be dumb and choose the second option. in this case I have 2 questions:

1. Neutral issue. This will with only when the bike is still moving, better if I rev a bit. Once it stops, there is no way I can shift it to neutral. When changing gears it is also easier to twist the throttle a bit. Someone told me it is a clutch problem. I bought a new set of clutch and planning to install it. Question: Can there be another reason, like the transmission?

2. Shifting to an open primary. Is it worth? I like the look of it. I do understand that the close primary is more reliable, but with the general reliability of this bike I ado not care if I have to service it once in a while. Which open primary brand will fit and be the best for my bike?
Try these adj procedures to dial in your clutch. Also for your starter clutch, sometimes torrington clutches can be cleaned and lubricated to restore proper operation if the bearings aren't damaged. Can't hurt to try and bench test it before reinstalling.

Thank you! Just made the adjustment. Will check later once the bike starts running again. I guess, I will have to replace the clutch plates anyway as I previously burnt mine while climbing up the hill. Since I could not find a replacement kit we restored the old plates.
As for cleaning and reinstalling the old starter clutch, I would probably do it if I did not have to remove the primary and drain the oil. I will keep the old starter but get a good clutch first.
P.S. Just found out that my right front shock is leaking :oldbang:
