Starter problem, whining like a blender, no engage. LSD and open primary. I assume I gotta drain the oil, remove the oil lines, and pull it out the right side. First time removing the bd starter. Here's pic.

Yep, you got it right.
Drain oil, remove lines, remove 2 bolts + jackshaft bolt (on the primary side) and starter should slide right out.
If you'd have a closed primary, you would normally drain that too, in order to take off the outer primary cover to get to the jackshaft bolt.
In your case I think you'll get away much easier.

If it whines like a blender :lol: , it's most likely the starter clutch. Cheap fix.

So pulled the starter today. Open primary so pretty easy. jackshaft kept spinning trying to remove the nut, just grabbed the shaft with vice grips to hold it steady. Jackshaft was ok. Contacts pitted. Sent to wild steed worx for rebuild. I bet it's the starter clutch. 99 bucks for basic rebuild plus whatever else it might need. See what happens.
