I would recommend a 1.8 kw starter at least. Just my 2 cents

Is the stock a 1.4?

stock is 1.4 but go with a 1.75.

I your having trouble starting you bike a bigger starter may now be the solution. If you can put 1.4 kw of electric into a starter motor that will be sufficient to throw over the engine.

Again some starters are wearing out early because oil leaks into them from the primary.

I think I have a 1.4 kw on my 2007 K-9. The starter motor has
never been the root cause on my starting problems.
