Starter Problem

My 02006 Chopper wouldn't start. Battery is good. Starter clicks. I took off and case is cracked. Can't use or rebuild anymore. I ordered new one and thought it was a BDM starter but no markings. I looked it over good after seeing mine cracked and discover this new one isn't new but rebuilt an also has cracked and has pieces missing. Is this a HUGE problem with these bikes ? One of many problems i'm having. getting frustrated. :(

first of all i made a mistake and I have an 06 Chopper .My original starter case and flange is cracked. I ordered a new one from WSW and noticed it doesn't have any BDM markings and by gear/shaft their is a opening and a groove. It looks like to allow passage of oil to shaft. mine is an 06 and my original starter didn't have this. Can i use this a new design or is this the wrong starter or flange or is this design for an 05 an older ?
