My o6 k9 original starter leaking from center, so i thought i would avoid problems and bought new starter from MotoElectrix. After about 2 weeks that starter seized up,under warranty so sent it back got a new one. Now after only 2 times go to take out bike and fluid underneath,clean it up ride a little bit and leak coming from center of starter and seal is hanging out! My patience is about gone! I am sending this starter back yet im weary of getting another one from this company,and is this the jackshaft seal? Any help please

RSD starters don't use a "jackshaft" like the HD's use

I used the thunder fire on both bikes LSD on the pittbull and the rsd for the sled.
I am just saying that I have had better luck with these than the original spyke and the compufire starters and the $ is worth it!

I am by no means knocking you starters or your service! Always top notch!
I however am very impressed with the ultima starters! They are installed ons Both bikes and so far so good !

Not what I meant in any way Paul.
I was trying to give you shit but your not participating man....:bang:
What I was getting at is the guy has an 06 and there isn't another starter that will fit his bike besides the Nippos that BD was having made. Excluding the Tornado or Firestorm or whatever weird name it was that they R&D'd once or twice.

Ultima does make a bitchin starter just not one that fits the 05 and newer BDs.....:flag:
