Starter Motor Help

Energy One
Hi, Sorry, this has probably been discussed a 100 times before but I'm on my phone & too hard to search. So today I stuffed my starter up (2006 Mastiff ) have been a bit worried since I have had the bike after a couple of funny noises but today when I started it, it didn't disengage for about 10 seconds. So went to start it again & it would just spin so am fairly sure the cog has snapped off (think u call it the jack shaft ??) Managed to push start it & road it home 20 km very carefully as the cog might be floating around in the primary. Went & checked the bike just before & noticed a small puddle of oil coming from the starter so does that confirm that the jackshaft is broken off as I'm guessing it would have stuffed up the seal into the primary ?? Sorry for the newbie questions but exactly what starter do i order & is it possible to get one in Australia if not where is the best place in the US to get one ??
Thanks in advance, any help greatly appreciated
P.S. haven't been able to remove it today as my son is away dirt bike riding & took all my tools

Thanks for all your help guys & yes Franco it is exactly the same problem as u had but I'm happy with that at least its reasonably simple. After taking the starter out I was able to get the broken pinion gear out through the starter hole so avoiding taking the primary cover off & as its a clean break there shouldn't be any particles in the oil. A huge thanks to Curtis in helping me get 2 shafts & gears sent over & hopefully they are here by Friday.
Franco since changing your shaft have u had any problems with breaking one again or are these stronger ?? Thanks again for everyones help.
Cheers Mark
