What kind of life is everyone getting out of their starters.

Prefer to be proactive, and not get stuck somewhere

Second starter on my 07 k9
I still think the bolts were loose and caused the housing to crack on the original. I guess the amount of cycles would play a big part in normal wear and tear.

i Pulled starter off my 05 and took it apart for cleaning and inspection. Never had an issue with it.

Both BD's had original starters till last week. Changed the one on the Bagger but not because it was bad, chrome was pitted from being a flordia beach bike, so while having other work done had the starter replaced.
