Starter Issues

04 Pitbull.... i got a starter from Wildsteed worx a couple years ago and it will only start with the slam button i'm guessing the Solenoid is bad. What do you think? It clicks when ya use the start button but fires right up with the slam button

since this is posted under the header wildsteedworx, i am assuming that you are trying to talk to curtis. a little heads up, curtis has been busy as fuck trying to get his new shop/warehouse put in order along with having some hip replacement surgery done followed up by P/T. i believe the best way to get in touch with him would be to send him an email. i am sure somebody will come along with his addy soon, but i don't have it handy at the moment. or maybe someone can give you the answer you need themselves. good luck.

Try cleaning the contacts on the solenoid. Here is a link with pictures.

Also, while your in there, check the two wires on the right side, just inside the solenoid housing, to make sure one isn't broke.

Shannon pointed that out to me when my pit wouldn't crank. Fixed mine!!

Thinkin back, aren't those little wires on the LEFT side, where the green quick connect goes in? My pit wouldn't start when one of those little wires broke, and Shannon got me goin again. Mr. Wright is usually Mr. RIGHT!

Your Right Chubs, the wires are on the left. I'm not much of a beer drinker, and I was on number 3 when I posted this.
