Starter Issue??

Hey guys- I took my battery to a local HD shop and they hooked it up to a Titan 113 CI and it turned over fine. The battery is connected good and the leads are bolted in well. The (Brand new) EHC is showing good light and connection. Gotta be a bad connection from the battery to the starter somewhere, doesn't it?! Again, when I attempt to start it, the engine cranks for a 1/2 a second then quits. The turn signals start blinking. The only other thing that I can think of is one of the cable that connects to the EHC doesn't fully seat onto the EHC. I've worked on it and where it is now is as far down as it will go. The rear part of the EHC is the portion that sticks up a little bit. I can't get the rear screw to screw in. The cable won't come loose and looks good from a quick look, but... Please help me!!!! It's 68 degrees here for the first time since fall!!!!! Thanks again for all your suggestions and help! Hub

Is there any way you can post some pictures of the battery and batt' box area, EHC. Some times a picture will show something that we can key in on...

But I swear its the battery... isn't that the only reason why the blinkers will blink like that???

As far as checking the tightness of the EHC connectors... just tighten those little screws

Good call KAM. I do the same. And you can run those other "non-EHC" connectors to the battery side of the circuit breaker to clean it up a bit.

Newest developments-
Reordered battery connections as per Kam. Pulled the spark plugs to see if the engine would roll and it did a couple of times. Sometimes, when I depressed the start, I got absolutely nothing, no compression release, nothing. I got a half a crank most of the time. Some times, I just heard the starter engage. I got the engine to roll a couple of times by pulling the plugs. I'm getting 12 V at the starter when I push the start. What the hell is going on??:bang:

You may have already check, but by chance have you looked at the hand control switch. I had a very similar problem shortly after I got my 05, they replaced with a new board that was a little different and never had the issue again. Also you could try the old jump the soloniod check to see if it will crank over that way, maybe push the compression relief in manually first.

Again I apologize if you already have tried these, good luck either way.

I have heard from a few people that the push button switches on the handle bars have been updated due to in-op conditions at times..
