I think it was about a cast billet aluminum clutch basket not working inside the poorly designed tranny that Curtis designed for Baker and is used in our bikes. Then some guys got pissy and started throwing tranny shafts at one another cause they weren't any good either. Chubs went home and Bdm4ever got hit with one and got sent to the ER.

And it was a good thing that everybody checked their guns at the door, someone could have been seriously hurt.

So anyways.................................

My rep got back to me and has verified that the Carriers are now being made from billet.
They ran out of the cast units and don't want to have a thousand made just to have them in stock.
No price increase though so thats a good thing.
That's great news I was worried I was gonna have to find a billet one soon!

"What a dumb post, presumably suited to the author. You know very little about the talent of the folks who have responded.

It also takes money to purchase the parts and time. None of which has much to do with what's is right and wrong with the design."

My engine is ALL S&S, trans is BAKER OD6 I don't have any problems. If it's time and money shouldn't have spent 25 grand in the first place
and now whinning about a $1500 broken part.

sitting back......LMAO

That's it I quit

You do have a way with words my friend:oldhardlaugh:
I didn't mean to sound like a prick, but life is just too damn short to be bitter all the time. Not everybody is a top notch mechanic, race car driver, or whatever, so we tend to rely on others who may have "been there - done that" for help and guidance sometimes. I know I have been helped here more than you could even imagine, and I really appreciate the help. Okay, end of rant! Stay safe

I thought it was funny, you have a way with words, that's all
:hi: I'm sorry Ker, but it just seems like there is always someone that has to be bigger, smarter, tougher, and better than everyone else. I just think life is too short for that crap. There are certainly a lot of guys here that know a whole lot more than me, but they don't try to flaunt it. If it wasn't for someone here (thank you Shannon) helping me solve a problem, I would still be scratching my head and getting no closer to running. Couldn't ask for a better bunch of folks than what we have here!!:old2::old2:
