Stalling Issue

Just bought a 04 bulldog last month. The guy I bought it from had it setting for about 4 months. Was running fine took on several hour rides, but now its stalling. Bike fires up but after warming for 5 minutes it dies like I shut the gas off. I had a friend clean carb out and do some adjustments, but stills acts up once warm, shutting off.

I would check to see if its a fuel problem or electrical. maybe its cutting out because of no sparky?

I was told there is good spark to both plugs. I one point it seemed to stay running when I lifted the enricher a little bit. But wierd if I let it stand for 30 mintues it will fire up again but then stall once worn. Running with everything stock, meaning stock carb, air cleaner and exhaust

If it was liner the problem would be restricting flow out of petcock right? When the fuel line is removed from the carb and the petcock is turned to the on position there is plenty of fuel coming out? Where in tank do I look for a liner problem, what would it look like. When I have looked in the tank before can't really see much.

yep on the gas cap...start and run with it loose or off ...the plastic valve in the bottom of the cap needs to be removed....been there.

ok tried running with gas cap off, and still having stalling issue. I ran it at idle for 10 minutes, then took it for 3 rides around the block. On the third ride it died. Check for spark and has good spark, but shows its running lean. Any ideas out there

Did you ever take a flashlight and look down in the tank (especially down by the petcock screen) to see if stuff was swirling around? Although, a remote fuel supply would answer that question...

It's running lean, cutting out, maybe starving for fuel. Take your petcock off, check for debris, clean screen. If there's a lot of shit (specifically green shit) on the screen, you should take your tank off and clean that out too. The green shit is your tank liner. You can put the tank on and run it with the liner coming loose, but you will have to clean your petcock now and then. Or you can use a product called Cream to coat your tank (time consuming pain in the ass) I've had success with the Cream product. Also may have to clean the carb.
