Pipes came today, look awesome, fit like shit!!!!

I think they were designed for a 330 or 360 RSD but he says most all RSD bikes.

Also with the BDM trans in it the trans mount exhaust doesn't work. Needs a new bracket made to mount to the BDM/Baker trans.

Either way, they stick out too far and will not work on a 300 tire RSD. The pipes can't be pushed back in any further because the head flanges are already not square with the heads and the pipes just clear the cam cover and rear brake res.

TERRIBLE !!!

Talked to Clint over the weekend and he said those were mocked for a 360 rear tire bike and mount for a standard Baker not a BDM/Baker. He said send them back to him and he'll rework them to fit proper.

They went out today back to him. I'll have them on and tuned in by Biketoberfest for sure.

That's the super sweet part about stainless. Can cut, reweld, buff right back to perfect.

I had the Chaos II pipes on my 2004 Ridgeback years ago and loved them. These have the Big City Thunder Baffles in them so they should sound even better.

I agree the Stainless has a totally different tone and sound to it.

Jake...did you get those ceramic coated on the inside?

yep...I was glad I had Clint sleeve the Big City Thunder Baffles in mine.....love the sound:2thumbs::whoop: and I'm glad I went with the ceramic coating on the inside..I can still feel the heat from the pipes...but haven't burned my pant legs on them..:D

Nope, didn't do the ceramic on the last ones or these. Heat never really bothered me on my Chaos II's.

Well, I am kinda pissed because Clint said he was going to have the pipes to me, no problem, before biketoberfest.

Talked to him today and he just finished them today, 3 weeks later! When I talked to him, he told me a couple.few day turn around in the shop.

So, no pipes for the show!!!

Maybe this Clint dude is slipping a bit. I've read good things about Stainless Creations her on the forum so I ordered mine for my Mastiff. I got the pipes after a few weeks and I found no hardware, no instructions and no cleaner in the box. The pipes have scratches on the sides from poor packinging. I contacted him and was told "sorry" hardware should have been in the box and "sorry" for the scratches, you can buy a polishing kit from Eastwood. I love the look of the pipes and the sound but for almost $800 the damn things should be perfect and include some bolts.

Damn that's poor and in this economy it's suicide for your business.
I was thinking about a set of these but I already have a problem with a set of $800 pipes. I'll be waiting or going somewhere else.

THey are nice pipes, don't get me wrong. well worth the $800 as long as all hardware is included and they fit as specified.

I bought mine off ebay from Clint listed as fitting most all RSD bikes, he didn't realize they were built for a 360 rear tire only.

What pipes are you already having problems with?

I wish, I bought a set of pipes from miami exhaust and had them coated on the inside to help prevent the bluing.
They changed fast the first week and the coating started coming off the inside.
After months of trying to get heat shields or something done
I'm less than thrilled. I've been promised everything and received nothing
I like the looks, and sound but hate the bluing

I like mine....I did have to make up a little modifications, but what the hell, if it bolts on it's not custom.....
