Squealing noise from primary

I had a loud squealing noise coming from the primary area. It happened 3 times the other night and it was when I was pulling away from a stop and 1 time when I was rolling very slow. It only lasts a few seconds so I can't pinpoint exactly where it's at but it is definitely in the primary area. It reminded me of a belt on a car that squeals for a few seconds then quits. Does anybody have an idea of where to start looking?? I have the primary apart and the drive chain out, but I do not see any evidence of anything that could be making the noise. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

It could be your drive belt. Check for alignment on your pullys and belt wear. Just a thought......

X2 on the drivebelt. Mine was making the same noise on roll out as well as left turns and it was the belt alignment.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm sure it's not the drivebelt....it's more of a metal to metal squeal.....almost like the sound of worn out brakes on a car. I've checked the brakes too, and they are fine.

There's three bolts that holds your ignition cover on. Tank your tank off and you'll see the bolts. It's not uncommon for your age of bike to allow the metal from the washer to rub on the ignition cover.

Only happens under acceleration? If so, check this area. You may even want to put teflon washer between the head bolt and the cover to seperate the metal parts.
