Got a new squeak going on. When I took my coil cover off awhile back and put it back on now it squeaks when I hit bumps. Are there plastic washers on the 3 bolts? I can't remember if there was and could I put some plastic ones or rubber washers in there to keep it from squeaking?????

Could someone pleae look at their coil cover and let my know what you have for washers. I have an 07 K9

Thanks!

Lots of threads here about the coil bolts. The washers are only on the two head bolts and one of our mechanics that used to work at the factory says he suspects they were only used to reduce temperatures from transfering to the coil.

But the old threads on here are about replacing the 1" bolts with 1 1/4 or 1 3/8ths bolts for more bite. Seems the 1" bolts only have about a 1/4" of threads in the head by the time it goes through the coil cover. The head is tapped deep so it can take a lot longer bolt.

Give it a try and see if it cures your problem.

And yes there is usually plastic washers under it. You should be able to get some at your local hardware store.
