Do a search on here and see what others have done and what they are currently running that works best. John Sachs is an engine builder who enjoys an excellent reputation for his work on heads and engines. He is a member on here who has done work on several BDM engines. I would recommend you get in touch with him with you ideas and he can set you up. :2thumbs:Just bought a 600 cam for my 07 Mastiff. Planning on port and polish the heads. Should I change the springs and valves and if so what should I get? Thanks![]()

I did not say anything about the beehive springsAndrew,
Wow. Did you just cross over into the high performance application for the beehive springs discussion? If I am not mistaken they improve vale train stability problems with less spring pressure which is great for valve train wear. On the short side my BBC would develop a 5000 rpm miss when I broke an outer spring. If you broke a beehive would you deep six a valve? Has anyone broken a spring on a v-twin? Maybe not a concern. This should lead to some good discussion.
