Split tanks

Can anyone tell me what the fuction of this inlet may be? It had a rubber plug that was half rotted off. just wondering what it's there for. It's located on the right tank.

Looks like the cross-over to the other tank for equalization.

I think those are the ones that go straight across, I'm wondering what the one is that's on a 90*. It had a rubber plug on it but the plug was dry rotted and it was only covering half of the inlet.

The one that gooes straight across is the crossover for the other tank. There should be a hose between them. The 90 is just a vent. I don't have a plug on mine.

I have the hose that goes betwwen the tanks. Just wondering if I need to plug that other one again. Thanks CC.

My 05 Pit has it as well but did not have a cap. If yours had one it shouldn't hurt to put it back as long as your right side gas cap is vented.

I smell what your steppin' in Wood. When I took the tanks off of the bike I found 4 mudhuts under the tank. It's crazy! :2thumbs:
