Spike Air Intake Replacement Filters

Donna (BigDogPartsKingpen) carries a replacement filter for the Big Dog Spike Air Intake. It measures 4" x 2" x 4 1/2" ((Long). The filter only comes in Grey. Does anyone know where to find this filter in different colors? 06 K9

D&M Spike air intake, replacement Filter ?

I have a D&M spike Intake on the bike. While its torn down I would like to replace this old K&N I will try to clean it but its VERY old. Only part number I have found was 7807-0018. I cant seem to find one to buy. Anyone have a lead on one or even a China copy?

I think I'll ask Donna to check with her vendors. I've been keeping her busy with part orders lately and i didn't want to keep piling on requests since it's something I can obviously wait on. The K&N I found wasn't exactly the same dimensions. WIMMER has the color I like but it's not the right size. I wanted to match the filter to the Jug Powdercoating.

Just buy the gray one and color it. I have used these guys multiple times with great results when I have had a blue, orange, green bike, etc.

I had the same idea but no idea of a product that would accomplish this. I know the filter is washable also. Really appreciate your help on this. It's the little details that often make a big overall difference in curb appeal to a bike.

You powder coated your jugs? That doesn’t sound like a good idea. Wouldn’t that mess with the heat exchange on the fins ? Seems like the motor would run hotter. Just thinking

Snuffy, I powder coated the heads on my 05 Ridgeback and never had a heat issue. Of course I had them Diamond cut as well which made them "pop" more and is "supposed" to help reduce heat.
