Spike Air Filter

I'm curious if a spike filter like this would be good. I know you get what you pay for most of the time but for the price it may be worth a shot. Any one tried one? This is aluminum, what is the d&m spike made from? Thoughts? Thanks

Yes Sir, they are made of billet aluminum, then chromed.

Im still struggling with the D&M price for the S&S tuned injection intake.. But heard they might only do 1 more run of them...

A "Nice" to do but not a "Must".... mine and lots of other members have never been on a Dyno!

Just tune up your Carb as per S&S instructions and good to go.

Tried one from ebay never fit rite. Ended buying a D&M and fit perfect and looks awesome

$80.00 gets you little more than a keychain. I'd go for it let me know how it works, great look got to let it breathe more than stock, it appears to have ample filter space as far as 'turbulence' is beyond me, does make a difference.

I'd like one myself. It will work fine. Yes they are expensive but you get what you pay for. Shop around. Good luck.

I have the dual runner and the above TMS spikes. THEY DO NOT FIT STOCK TO A DUAL RUNNER....The diameters are too large to fit on a dual runner ...I made a spacer for the top spike to move it forward, so no interference.

Sorry to bring up a dead thread, but OP, did you end up pulling the trigger on this intake. I've been eyeing the same one for a while now, but i've heard mixed things with airflow and fitment issues. I can't see spending $500-1000 on an intake if i can find an almost identical one for under $100.

it's not just the $80 for the spike air cleaner, you have to buy a carb support and breathers.
