Idol is set to low if you give it just a little bit of gas they probably stop blinking.
Not good to run your idol low as that makes two low oil pressure.
Turn your idol up it should be set between 950 and 1000 RPMs

Is this a plug and play item? My tach has always flashed and no matter how fast the motor turns, only 2 green bars show after reaching a decent speed. Speedo works but the tach is shit

I have 2006 K-9 and they also that a problem with getting water inside at the bottom of tac ring and causing corrosion, back in the day BIGDOG had a factory truck at myrtle beach and would repair things like this for free - they did my tac ring & replaced my grommets for my handle bars which new were rubber but they later changed to neoprene - I am pretty sure DONNA sales them

I have a new speedo from autometer and want to replace my old speedo ( because it's shit.) But would like to keep the big dog face plate. At one time there was a post for changing them I think started by raywood .They took them off and had pics of their women etc. put on then replaced them. Anyway can't find the post.if anyone knows where it is and could post the link ? Thx in advance.
