My factory one always worked fine, I just chose to take it off and go dakota digital - Never had any issues with it though - 15,000 miles

I believe DrRx was looking for a black face original speedo. If your wanting to get rid of it, give him a PM

Are you looking to get rid of your original? I can always use a spare and just took a blue Dakota off of mine. It has 11-12k mi on it

I'll hold onto mine for a little while - only because I just seem to hoard parts that I replace in case aftermarket ones fail - not because I have any intention of putting it back on - or even selling the bike.

Are you talking about the Dakota digital that you posted a picture of?
You should only need the bracket, you will have to splice the wires and solder into the current speedo wiring unless you used a connector to plug the wires together. Pretty easy to do

More than likely it’s a solid wiring harness which means no connectors. It should be easy to cut the old speedo out, solder them to the new speedo and use heat shrink over the the connection.
