Does anyone have any experience with the Big Dog speedometer/tachometer?
With the one I have, the two turn signal lights on the gauge stay lit but the actual turn signal lights work, although the tachometer light bar however does not work.
Just the way you see it is exactly how it is when running.
I was told by the mechanic that worked on my bike last said he thinks the tachometer was 'probably' burned up by the original Thunder Heart module.
This is am very suspicious about.
I was considering replacing just the tachometer ring as the speedometer part works:
My biggest fear in doing so is it will either burn that one out too (if the mechanic is right), or it will not fix the problem, to find out it will cost me $130, this is why I post it as a question here before I go any further.
From actual experience, can anyone say that replacing the ring will fix it or can anyone suggest any other solution(s)?
